When people ask me about the Theodore and why they should love it, I often would say, “What’s not to love?” In all seriousness, this Birmingham wedding venue is just to die for. All of the perks for brides of the Theodore I will explore in this post. But before that, let’s talk about this beautiful historic building.
Inspired by a man named Theodore Swann in the early 1900’s, this building encapsulates the character of Theodore who has a taste for the finer things in life. On their website, they say that Theodore Swann was “Gatsby-esque.” He enjoyed the luxurious and fashionable things, and was considered someone who knew how to celebrate. The building itself used to be for her own personal chemical company. Knowing that Mr. Swann had a passion for celebration, and that he enjoyed the finer things in life can really help you to see why this wedding venue is perfect for your modern day luxurious wedding ceremony and reception.
There are so many things to say about this incredible, downtown wedding venue, but I will keep it to 5 significant points below.
From the bridal suite, to the huge windows throughout the building, so the original details of exposed brick and tracking fire doors, The Theodore is the place to be for all of your wedding day festivities. The tall ceilings bring such a unique characteristic to weddings of all kinds, as it makes everything feel open, no matter how large your wedding will be.
If wedding photography is important to you, The Theodore is the way to go. The Theodore is such a classy and timeless venue that your photos will no doubt be incredible. I love providing heirloom imagery to my couples in a way that captures them authentically and with truth, and in a way that will stand the test of time. The Theodore makes it easy to do just that because of all of the natural light from the windows, and tall ceilings, and the neutral yet modern background of the building.
If you choose to go with The Theodore for your wedding, you can go ahead and also check off caterer from your list! The Theodore offers incredible in house catering that is perfect for any type of wedding reception. Whether you are having a sit down reception or a buffet style reception, I am sure that their incredible food will make everyone happy.
Just like catering, go ahead and check off bar services from your list! As we read about Mr. Swann, this venue seeks to give an elevated and luxury experience for everyone who comes to the bar. They offer a selection of speciality drinks and the bar director is there to help you plan exactly what you will need for your wedding reception.
The venue offers one of the largest event spaces that I have ever seen in a wedding venue. The Theodore can seat up to 500 in a ceremony and reception alike, which is unheard of! How incredible that you can almost have an endless guest list! No need to cut people off the list due to capacity issues. Standing, The Theodore can accommodate up to 750.
I hope this post was helpful in your search for the perfect wedding venue! I am certain that The Theodore would be the perfect place for you to have your wedding.
