There are many things to love about this new wedding venue, set in the heart of Homewood! Not only is the Farrell absolutely stunning for all wedding styles and aesthetics, but it is also conveniently located right in the heart of the town. Being a 4 minute walk from the closest hotel and some of the best restaurants in town, you can’t go wrong with booking the Farrell for your wedding. I am going to explore some of the features of this venue that make it desirable for all newlyweds!
A lot of venues nowadays require you to book other vendors solely from their personal list of vendors. While having a vendor list is helpful for some brides who don’t know who to book, it can also be restricting for some brides who may want to hire someone outside of that specific list. This is one thing that makes The Farrell such a desirable wedding venue: no vendor restrictions! This means you can truly stylize and plan your wedding to fit exactly what you need with all of your dream vendors. The Farrell does provide vendor suggestions for brides who do not know who to book, but they do not restrict you to using only vendors from that list.
While some venues might only have limited hours you can have your vendor team set up for your wedding day, The Farrell allows for all day access – from 8am-12am. This is incredible news for couples who need extensive hours for their vendors to have access to the venue to set up for the wedding of your dreams.
The Farrell has parking available, although it is limited. Never fear! There is a parking deck only 5 minutes walk away from the venue for overflow parking! This is very convenient as most venues in Homewood and Birmingham do not have this kind of easy parking options.
Sticking to their open vendor policy, The Farrell allows you to hire whatever caterer you prefer for your wedding day. The only thing they ask is that you find someone who is licensed and insured. The Farrell does allow alcohol as well. However, they do not provide the alcohol. The bride and groom will be in charge of providing the alcohol.
The Farrell acts as the perfect blank canvas for you to customize what you want your wedding to look like. They have several rooms available that you get to decide how to use! In addition, you are able to tent the courtyard if you so wish! There are no limits to what you can do at The Farrell!
I had the pleasure of touring The Farrell while it was empty, and when I asked the venue coordinator this question, here is what she said:
“I wish people would know that we are in the heart of Homewood! Most people, when they look at our Instagram, don’t realize how close we are to everything! We are surrounded by restaurants, village shopping, and the Valley Aloft Hotel!”
Did you know that the owners of the Farrell own the sister venue, Christopher Glenn? When you book one, you will receive a discount off the other! Brides will often have a courtyard wedding at Christopher Glenn, and then walk next door (yes! It is that close!) for a reception at The Farrell. What better combo could you ask for? Read more about Christopher Glenn here.
