Southern House and Garden is a true southern treasure in Knoxville, Alabama. The venue holds up to 300 guests, with six sprawling acres of pasture and grazing horses in view. Flowers fill the grounds with exquisite design teams ready to make every wedding one to remember.
The venue has a slogan that epitomizes what their service is all about: “where all you have to do is say ‘I Do.'” As a full-service wedding planning and service provider, the venue takes care of everything to allow couples to bask in their wedding day bliss – minus the stress.
Southern House and Garden offers space for 300 guests, with options for where you host the ceremony and reception on the grounds. Professional planning takes the stress out of the experience, with the venue offering:
Couples just need to bring the entertainment, photographer (that’s me!) and the love. But this is just the start of what you’ll experience when booking this venue…
Couples can choose from five ceremony locations, including the Gazebo, Vintage Chapel, Oak Tree and more. The grounds offer picturesque greenery, six acres of well-kept lawns and pastures with horses. A 17×17 arbor is present, too.
Brides who love gardens will step into a fairytale at the white gazebo. Greenery stretches up the gazebo’s rails, and couples take the most romantic pictures at this very location.
On a sunny day, the oak tree offers a magical ceremony location, with the sun beaming through the oak tree’s branches onto the couple in the middle.
And the church is jaw-dropping. Windows allow fresh air into the chapel, with the sound of songbirds echoing outside. The interior boasts a large chandelier directly in the middle with white pews for guests to sit on when you say, “I do.” Of course, there is even a porch near the chapel with rocking chairs and a cozy swing. Indoor and outdoor ceremonies are equally as spectacular. Indoor receptions take place in a cute, quaint barn with grand chandeliers and string lights spread across the rafters.
Southern House and Garden knows that every wedding is unique, and the venue offers a vintage-style wedding that fits into every budget. The venue has more than half a dozen wedding packages, plus a slew of add-on options to further customize your big day. Full-service packages offer complete set-up and clean-up options. If you want to guarantee a smooth wedding, add a director to your wedding. A nice touch that Southern House and Garden offers is that all tips and gratuities are in the package price. Couples know the price they’ll pay for the wedding upfront.
The add-ons include:
Wedding packages even accommodate weddings of up to just six guests. If you want to get eloped and celebrate your wedding with a small, intimate group of friends and family, you can, thanks to the Southern Elopement package.
Rain can be a major concern on a wedding day, especially here in the south. No couple pictures rain on their big day, but just remember that rain means good luck on your wedding day. 😉 The venue offers an indoor space at no additional cost if it rains. The only downside is the indoor venue can only accommodate 130 guests. Larger weddings can rely on the tenting service to provide cover from the elements.
Couples tell me that Southern House and Garden goes above and beyond for each wedding. The team’s planners are on-the-ball, responsive and take the stress out of your big day. The venue does not sell alcohol, so if you plan to serve alcohol at your wedding, you must seek approval from the venue 30 days in advance. If you do not make a request for approval and the venue finds alcohol during the event, it may result in a loss of your security deposit.
